  • 199 New Montgomery - 199 New Montgomery is a new 16-story high-rise structure with four levels of underground parking and a rooftop garden located near the Union Square area of downtown San Francisco. The ground floor level includes 12,000 SF of retail shops and the residential lobby and concierge desk. Fifteen floors of owner-occupied condominiums include 39 studios, 91 one-bedroom and 36 two-bedroom residential units. 199 New Montgomery was developed by Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, LLC of Los Angeles and Monahan Pacific of San Rafael, California and occupancy began in February, 2005.

  • 300 South Tryon Office & Condominiums - The proposed 300 South Tryon building in Charlotte, NC will be a 32-story mixed-use project, including a two-story retail base, 12 floors of Class-A office space, one mechanical floor, and 17 floors of luxury condominiums. The building design reflects International Modern architecture, including a number of setbacks and interesting glass curtain wall and window wall elements. The green glass and silver mullions will provide a sleek, sophisticated profile, with strong visibility on Tryon Street in Charlotte’s central business district. The building will also include a four-level below-grade parking structure, which will contain 585 parking spaces. Project is on hold.

  • Airport Distribution Center - Michael Brisbois Associates served as the Owner's Representative for the design and construction of two high-bay tilt-up warehouse buildings containing 202,000 SF of floor space. Construction of the two buildings, and all associated site work on nine acres, was completed in about ten months.

  • Alexan at City Center Apartments/Retail/Parking Garage - 439 Unit, wood-frame, 3-story apartment complex with outdoor pool, exercise facilities, business center, Club House, retail shops, structured parking garage and a mixture of private garages and surface parking. The complex covers two city blocks adjacent to the Englewood Civic Complex and is served by a RTD Light Rail Station, located a short walk away. Michael Brisbois Associates served as the Owner's Quality Control Inspector during the construction of this project.

  • Aston Apartments (formerly known as Chelsea) - Aston Apartments (formerly known as Chelsea) is a 36-story high rise apartment development with one level of under-building parking for 57 cars and 12,000 SF of ground-level retail space. Aston Apartments contains a total of 269 flats, duplexes and lofts and was fully leased shortly after Substantial Completion in July, 2004. The structure, which includes 264,000 GSF, was built on a 19,000 SF site in mid-town Manhattan and was constructed in 16 months, including all interior finishes.

  • Coal Mine Centre - Coal Mine Centre is an exciting new retail center located on a 5.5 acre site near West Bowles Avenue and C470 in Littleton, Colorado. Included in the 54,000 SF complex will be office tenants on the upper level of the main, L-shaped "West" building and restaurants and retail on the ground level. Both levels feature walk-out access to surface parking, which is designed to accomodate 324 cars. A separate 5,600 SF "East" building is ideally suited for a bank, restaurants or a single-tenant retail or office user. An elaborate outdoor water feature is the centerpiece of this facility; the design theme of Coal Mine Centre is of an old Colorado mining camp. The project was developed by Skyland Meadows Developments, LLC and opened in Spring, 2005.

  • Digicomm Int'l Flex Office/Warehouse Expansion - Michael Brisbois Associates provided Owner Representation services during the design and construction of this 30,000 SF high-bay warehouse addition in Englewood, Colorado's Dove Valley. The project included carefully monitored placement of extensive engineered fill to bring the added warehouse finish floor elevation up to that of the existing warehouse. Site cast tilt-up concrete wall panels and steel columns and bar joists were utilized for the superstructure. To complete the project, the entire facility received an exterior facelift, sitework improvements and an a complete, upgraded interior office renovation.

MBA represented the Owner, Qualcomm, Inc. of San Diego, CA. The completed facility provided expanded office, lab space and computer clean room capabilities for Ericsson's cell phone research operations.

  • Gallery Place - Two and one half acre urban renewal site in Chinatown District of Washington, D.C. Project includes four below grade parking levels for 700 cars, three retail levels and a fourteen-screen movie theater with connections to the MCI Sports Complex and the Metro Rail transportation hub at Gallery Place. In addition, project includes 192 condominiums and 240,000 SF of office space. Design integrates this large, urban complex into the architectural context of the existing Chinatown neighborhood. Street-level retail shops are of the scale and vocabulary of existing neighborhood buildings, many of which are historic structures.

  • Graland Country Day School-Field House/Parking Structure - Graland Country Day School's new Field House was completed in November, 2004 and replaced the original 50-year old gymnasium building. The re-development program included an under-building parking garage for 72 vehicles, including school buses, and a maintenance office and shop space. The main level contains the full-court basketball and volleyball Field House, including spectator seating for approximately 400, a two-story climbing wall, staff offices, locker and shower rooms, public restrooms, laundry and equipment storage rooms. The upper level includes classroom space, a large training room, public restrooms and mechanical equipment room. The project also included restoration of the Athletic Field, adjacent to the new Field House, which was utilized as the site of a temporary gymnasium (inflatable bubble) and construction staging area during the construction of the new facility. In addition, the Graland Field House incorporated a high-quality audio-visual system designed to accomodate large assemblies and special events.

  • Hotel Monaco Denver - Renovation plans for the Hotel Monaco Denver's Panzano Restaurant, as well as 189 guestrooms and common areas, were completed in 2009. Renovation work for Panzano's was finished early in 2010, followed by the guestrooms. Common area renovations are planned to be completed in the near future.

  • I-225 Distribution Center - Michael Brisbois Associates represented the Owner, Prudential Real Estate Advisors, in the design and construction of a two new, high-bay, tilt-up warehouse buildings in Aurora, CO. The project consisted of two 140,000 SF buildings, and associated site work on 18 acres. The construction was completed, working through the winter, in ten months.

  • Interport FBO & Transient Hangar/Office Buildings - New 3-story, 60,000 SF office building and adjacent 50,000 SF office/private hangar building. The main office building was grade beam and steel frame construction, composite decks, punched windows, curtain wall and brick veneer. The transient hangar/office building was prefabricated steel and masonry infill with a long-span steel truss roof framing system. The hangar can accomodate four private jet aircraft and is located on an apron leading to the main Centennial Airport runway in Engelwood, CO. Centennial Airport is one of the busiest private aviation airports in the U.S.

  • Interport Tenant Improvements - Tenant improvements and fit out of the majority of two office buildings within Interport at Centennial Airport, Englewood, CO. Michael Brisbois Associates was engaged by the Developer, SunBorne Companies, to serve as Owner's Representative during the design and construction of the two new office and office/hangar buildings and associated tenant improvements.

  • Invesco Funds Group - Corporate Headquarters - Invesco Funds Group Corporate Headquarters Campus is located in Denver, Colorado and was completed in 2002. The campus includes a Main Headquarters Building and a Technical Support Group Building; the campus is master planned for two additional administrative support buildings. Together the current office space totals 280,000 SF and features open office and private office spaces for 600 employees, a Corporate Board Room, a trading room for mutual fund activities and an on-site employee cafeteria and health club. A detached structured parking garage can accomodate 700 cars and is located adjacent to a new Regional Transportation District (RTD) light rail transfer station. Fast-track ground up construction was started in the summer of 2001 and was completed in 14-months, including core, shell and all tenant improvements.

  • Jefferson Place - Jefferson Place is located in the West Loop area of Chicago, IL. It is a 28-story high rise apartment building with an attached 4-story structured parking garage for 273 cars. The residential tower contains 274 apartments with a variety of studio, convertible and 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units. Retail shops are located on the ground level at Jefferson and Lake Street elevations. The tower superstructure is cast-in-place concrete and the parking garage is precast concrete. Jefferson Place was completed in 17 months in July, 2005 and was sold shortly thereafter to an institutional investor.

  • Johns Manville Corporate Headquarters Office Renovation - Michael Brisbois Associates represented the tenant (Johns Manville Corporation) in the complete design and construction renovation of six floors of Manville's Corporate Headquarters in downtown Denver, CO. The entire project was completed in a little over eighteen months while the tenant occupied and continued to conduct business in the majority of the space. This was made possible by consolidating their operations into five floors, leaving the sixth floor available for demolition and construction.

  • Meininger - Meininger is a long-time Denver, Colorado art and architectural supply store that was founded in the late 1800's. Descendants of the original founders developed this much expanded retail and catalog sales outlet, which is located near downtown Denver. The facility contains a wonderfully light and airy main sales floor with an open atrium to the second floor sales area, gallery and business offices. A major design element in the Meininger store is a huge translucent skylight system that takes up a large part of the roof. The basement level is the location of the catalog sales outlet for Meininger, who enjoys a world-wide clientele. When in downtown Denver, a visit to Meininger is a must anyone with an interest in art and architecture equipment, books and supplies.

  • Mellon Financial Center/Denver Center Building - Curtain Wall Rehab/Exterior Skin & Window Replacement, 36-Story and 13-Story Office Towers. Michael Brisbois Associates served as the Owner's Representative in the management of this difficult remediation project in two fully-occupied downtown Denver office buildings.

  • Millennium Hotel - Original Project was previously known as the St. Louis Regal Riverfront Hotel. Work included a complete renovation of 900 guestrooms, 3 restaurants, 40,000 SF of conference and meeting space, all public and back of house areas, chiller overhauls, elevator upgrades and an exterior facelift. Twenty-three guestrooms were removed in order to open up the Lobby and Front Desk views to the Gateway Arch Monument across the street. All work was done while the hotel was in operation over a period of 16 months. Background tower in the photo above is one of two towers in the hotel complex. The main guest tower contains 28 floors of guestrooms and a revolving rooftop restaurant.

  • One Willow Bridge Road - Project is an infill of an old hotel site in Vail Village. Nestled on the banks of Gore Creek and a two minute walk to the Gold Peak lift, One Willow Bridge Road is located in the epicenter of skiing at Vail and is in the heart of abundant restaurant and shopping venues in Vail Village. The Project consists of underground parking for 59 cars, 5,000 SF of retail shops, ten full-ownership condominiums and twelve fractional ownership condos. The completed facility is managed by the Sonnenalp Resort, located next door, and features full concierge services for its owners and guests. Occupancy began in June 2006.

  • Pierce County Justice Center - This Tacoma, Washington facility is a contemporary, functional and cost-efficient solution for a County courts and correctional center. The original poured-in-place concrete frame contains 380 beds, with expansion capacity for 90 more beds. Design features include maximum space utilization, unique outdoor recreation features, state of the art security and cluster concepts that provide for low-level staffing requirements (6 to 1 ratio). Mechanically, the project is very efficient,using 45,000 BTU's per square foot per year. The completed facility contains 112,550 SF of new and remodeled courts, booking, visitors, medical, kitchen and correctional space, as well as under-building parking for police vehicles and sally port. The Pierce County Justice Center was completed in 1984 at a construction costs of $16 million. Construction of this same facility, if built in 2006, would cost approximately $45 million.

  • Prospect Place - Prospect Place, including Tomboy, Red Cliff and Smuggler Lofts, was Phase II of a 3-phase development that would ultimately include seven residential buildings. This new Denver urban mixed-use development was designed to contain nearly a million square feet of residential, commercial and structured parking in the Central Platte Valley adjacent to Coors Field. Phase II, known as TRS (Tomboy, Red Cliff, Smuggler), was to contain 191 residential lofts, 25,000 SF of retail space, 389 structured parking spaces, and a 15,000 SF outdoor piazza. When completed, Propect Place would have provided a mixture of 400 residential lofts, plus shops, bistros and galleries designed around a communtiy piazza and will have easy access to a nearby RTD Light Rail Station. The Project was sold in 2006.

  • Qualcomm - Two Building Campus - Michael Brisbois Associates represented the Owner, Qualcomm, Inc., in the development of two new R&D office buildings in the Gun Barrel area of Boulder, CO. The assignment included construction monitoring and oversight of two 80,000 SF, 3-story, steel frame superstructures with composite decks, brick veneer and a specially engineered window system designed to control UV transmittance and heat gain. The project, including core & shell and all office and meeting room tenant improvements, lab space, clean rooms and extensive site work, was completed and occupied in 14 months.

  • Renaissance Creek Center - Four retail pad sites consisting of 60,000 SF of completed retail stores located in a new lifestyle center in Roseville, CA. Tenants include Blockbuster, Applebee's, Staples, Wells Fargo and Home Goods. Upon completion of the final building (Home Goods) in late March, 2006, the retail complex will be finished and will contain approximately 35 retail stores, shops and restaurants on the nearly 20-acre development.

  • Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital & Pet Resort - Michael Brisbois Associates represented the Owner, NCT Development LLC, in the design and construction of a new 30,000 SF small animal hospital and boarding kennel facility in Highlands Ranch, CO. The project included 3.5 acres of site work, a partial basement, a caretaker apartment, reception, retail, grooming, examination, operating and x-ray rooms, laboratory, pharmacy, cat condos, doggie day care, and dog kennels for 200 animals. Construction was completed in ten months.

  • Vistas at Park Meadows - The Vistas at Park Meadows is a new lifestyle shopping experience built on the former Lord & Taylor site at Park Meadows Regional Shopping Mall in Lone Tree, Colorado. It consists of three buildings and five pad sites accommodating over thirty new shops and restaurants. The shopping theme surrounds an outdoor pedestrian promenade with elaborate hardscape, landscape and water features and includes concierge parking, extensive radiant heated walkways and even fire cauldrons to warm shoppers on winter days. The Vistas is the home of the largest Borders Bookstore in Colorado and will add many interesting new venues, and several new trendy restaurants to the already over the top ‘Retail Shopping Resort’ that is Park Meadows at Lone Tree. Grand Opening was held on April 17, 2008.

  • Warner Center - The Warner Center in Woodland Hills, CA is the proposed site for a new 160,000 SF office building to replace an existing four-story office building. Redevelopment of this property will entail razing of the existing structure and replacement with an 11-story, Class-A office building containing a total of 146,000 square feet of office and 14,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space. The building will include one level of ground floor retail/restaurants, four levels of parking for 424 vehicles (one subterranean, three above grade stacked beneath the office floors) and seven levels of office. The project is on hold.
